Hello! How can we help you?

Will the Veloped or Walker fit in an SUV or car boot?

Yes. Both the Trionic Veloped and the Walker fit in the boot of most medium-sized SUVs, and often in estate cars too. The frame folds flat and the large wheels come off by hand without tools, so the rollator takes up far less space than it does out on the path.

Folded dimensions to check against your boot

The figures below are for the largest 14″ models — the Walker 9er, Walker 12er and smaller Veloped frames pack down even smaller. Removing the wheels (no tools needed) makes the biggest difference:

Trionic Walker 14er (M/L)

  • Folded, with wheels: 85 × 28 × 90 cm (L × W × H) — 33 × 11 × 35″
  • Folded, wheels removed: 67 × 28 × 76 cm — 26 × 11 × 30″, 6.6 kg
  • Maximum grip height: 100 cm (39.4″)

Trionic Veloped Tour 14er (Large frame)

  • Folded, with wheels: 111 × 42 × 84 cm (L × W × H) — 44 × 17 × 33″
  • Folded, wheels removed: 84 × 42 × 68 cm — 33 × 17 × 27″, 8.0 kg
  • Maximum grip height: 104 cm (41″)

Lowering the handles to their minimum setting and taking the wheels off gives you the most compact package.

Remove the wheels — no tools needed

The wheels are easy to remove by hand, with no tools required. Taking them off is the single biggest space-saver — it shortens the Walker to about 67 cm and the Veloped to about 84 cm — and also makes the frame lighter to lift into the boot.

Which model packs down smallest?

The Walker is the more compact of the two: its 14er folds to roughly 67 × 28 cm with the wheels off, and the smaller-wheeled Walker 9er and 12er are more compact still. The Veloped's all-terrain frame is longer, but with the wheels removed it still fits the boot of most medium-sized SUVs.
